Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Suppd mobile application ("the App"), operated by Gavin Harper ("I", "me", "my"), trading as an individual based in England. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

2. The App

Suppd is a meal planning application that allows users to plan weekly meals, import recipes from external websites and social media, and share meal plans with family members. Some features of the App are available free of charge. Access to premium features requires a paid subscription.

3. Accounts

The App can be used without creating an account in a limited guest mode. Guest access allows you to use core features of the App, however guest users cannot create or join a family plan, and therefore cannot use family sharing functionality. Guest users are also subject to other feature restrictions as described within the App.

Guest data is stored locally on your device and is not backed up. If you log out, delete the App, or reset your device as a guest, your data cannot be recovered. I accept no responsibility for data loss resulting from use of the App in guest mode.

You can convert a guest account to a registered account at any time to back up your data and unlock the full feature set. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you register an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify me promptly if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account

4. Family Sharing

The App includes a family sharing feature that allows an account owner to invite other users to access a shared meal plan. The following roles are available: Owner, Planner, and Viewer.

All members of a shared family plan, whether Owner, Planner, or Viewer, are individually bound by these Terms. By accepting an invitation to join a family plan, you agree to comply with these Terms in full.

The account owner is responsible for ensuring that all invited members are made aware of, and agree to, these Terms before joining.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Access to premium features requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis and are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your platform. Current pricing is clearly displayed at the point of purchase within the App Store or Play Store.

The following terms apply to your subscription:

  • Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that date
  • Refunds are subject to the policies of Apple App Store or Google Play Store, as applicable. I have no ability to process refunds directly
  • Prices may change. Where permitted by the platform, I will provide reasonable notice of any price changes

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its underlying infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App
  • Use the App to transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or its services

7. Recipe Imports and Third-Party Content

The App allows you to import recipes from external websites and social media platforms. Recipes can be imported by entering a URL directly within the App, or by sharing content to the App from a third-party application such as Instagram or TikTok. This functionality is provided as a convenience feature for personal use only.

You are solely responsible for the content you choose to import. By using the import feature, you confirm that:

  • You are using imported content for your own personal, non-commercial use
  • You will not use the import feature in a manner that infringes the intellectual property rights of third parties
  • You understand that recipes and content from third-party sources are subject to their own terms of service and copyright restrictions

I do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for any third-party content imported into the App. I accept no liability for the accuracy, legality, or quality of any content retrieved from external sources.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by me and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use my name, trademarks, or other proprietary materials.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. I do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I disclaim all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, indirect or consequential losses, or losses arising from third-party content.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by English law, my total liability to you in connection with these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for your subscription in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

I reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if I believe you have breached these Terms or if continued provision of the service is no longer reasonably practicable.

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. On account deletion, your data will be handled in accordance with the Suppd Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, I will notify you via the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
